Third Year Program
in Spiritual Counseling
The Third Year Counseling Program for Ministers is a nine-month, 70-hour program designed to teach consciousness in communication and provide self-development for deepening interactive skills with those who seek counsel.
At the conclusion of our course, enrollees will be prepared to:
Listen and respond appropriately to the queries of seekers
Understand the role of Minister in Counseling
Have a deeper self-understanding in crucial life issues
Be more present and confident with those who seek their
assistance
Understand the boundaries that a counselor requires to maintain
a safe practice

There will be an advance registration beginning March, 2008. Those intending to participate will be required to attend an interview with Reverends Principe and Mufson and submit a completed application and deposit.

SPIRITUAL COUNSELING PROGRAM:
Reverend Susan Alice Mufson, LCSW
Susan is a Graduate of the New Seminary and a psychotherapist in private practice in Manhattan, specializing in treatment of post traumatic stress disorder, childhood abuse and trauma, grief and bereavement and spiritual issues. Susan has been on the faculties of Queens College, the Hunter college of Social Work (Brookdale Center on Aging) Jersey City State College (Trauma studies program) and the National Institute of the Psychotherapies. (Center for Spirituality and Psychotherapy), One Spirit interfaith seminary (Spiritual Counseling Program) and is currently co-dean of the Third Year Spiritual Counseling Program. Susan is the coauthor of Straight Talk about Child Abuse and Straight Talk about Date Rape. She frequently gives workshops on understanding trauma, the human-animal-bond trauma and healing from religious injury.
Rev. Heather M. Principe, CPE
Heather holds degrees in Education, Psychology and Business and studied for many years under a Native Cree Medicine Man learning indigenous medicine ways. As a Certified Wellness Educator and an internationally recognized Registered Polarity Practitioner, she has taught Energetic Listening for many years in Somatic Programs worldwide. Heather is owner and founder of The Yoga and Polarity Center, a center for teaching Yoga, Subtle Energy Healing Arts including Polarity and Pranic Healing, and Energetic Listening Skills for Bodyworkers. She has been on the staff of the The Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Tempe, Arizona, The Open Center of New York, Omega Institute, Polarity Healing Arts of Santa Monica, and Sivananda Yoga Ranch. Heather is currently co-dean of the Third Year Spiritual Counseling Program of the New Seminary and runs retreats worldwide in all forms of Energetic Healing.
